An open letter to the Information Commissioner and the chief executive of Ofcom raises years of harassment on the forum, following the death of a sixteen-year-old who had been discussed on it. The letter requests investigation for potential breaches of data protection law, and consideration of suspending the site altogether.

In correspondence with Parliament, the regulator confirms it has written to the forum demanding an urgent response on its duties under the Online Safety Act, and sets out the measures available to it if the site fails to engage — including court-ordered business disruption and service restriction.

A £300,000 harassment and defamation judgment against the forum's operator, entered in default in 2023, is set aside on procedural grounds after the court finds serious failures of disclosure on the claimants' side. The claimants are pursuing an appeal.
